Highlights of this spectacular Mustang V8 Coupé begin at the nose, which wears a APR carbon-fibre front spoiler with race style splitter. Above this, the naked carbon-fibre bonnet with integrated air outlet gills from Anderson Composites helps to give the car its visual impact. At the rear, the bumper, spoiler and window scoops come from Mustang tuning specialist Roush Performance.

However, the eye catching aspect of the styling changes is the WRAPworks coloured wrap that features a combination of bright green, black, white and silver foil in the dramatic style that this company is known for. The finishing touch here is side and rear glass with 95% tint.

OXIGIN 21 Oxflow alloy wheels in 9.0J and 10.5J x 20-inch sizes, shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in 255/35R20 size in front and 275/35R20 at the rear, are made with the company’s innovative flow forming process and finished in liquid purple matt to complement the colourful bodywork.

The ST X coilover suspension kit drops the ride height, and works in combination with the Eibach anti-roll bar kit to improve handling. Used with 20 mm H&R spacers, this wheel and tyre combination fills out the Mustang’s wheel arches perfectly, giving the car its muscular stance.

For better snappier throttle response and better breathing on the drag strip WRAPworks installed a JLT Cold Air Intake to the 5.0 litre V8, which has been tuned by Schropp Tuning to run on 102-octane fuel. The engine is now capable of delivering up to 485 hp and 570 Nm of torque, a big step up from the standard 421 hp and 530 Nm.

The sport exhaust of the WRAPworks Mustang is equipped with an ASG-Sound X-pipe to balance the gases flowing to the two Roush double-tube silencers. The Roush system features sound flaps that allow the driver to unleash the full cry of the wild horses at the push of a button.

In the cabin of the WRAPworks Mustang, sporty touches include the round Roush gearshift knob, and carbon-fibre trim. All this helps to raise the driver’s adrenaline levels even before the start button is pressed. The removal of the rear seat bench wins a few kilograms and saves fractions of a second on the drag strip.
